Description of the project in the Czech Republic The Czech Smart City Cluster (CSCC) is a key partner in the Danube-ADAPT project, which aims to strengthen climate change adaptation capacities in the Danube Region through data-driven decision-making and digital tools. CSCC leads the IT development of the Danube Region Adaptation Support Policy Platform – an online tool providing access to climate vulnerability data and supporting strategic planning. The Czech team also contributes to climate risk mapping, pilot testing of methodologies, and awareness-raising activities that help integrate evidence-based measures into local and national policies.

The implementation of the Danube-ADAPT project includes:
  • harmonizing climate data and vulnerability assessment methodologies across the Danube Region,
  • developing data-based policy-making tools accessible through the Danube Region Adaptation Support Policy Platform,
  • testing these methodologies through pilot vulnerability assessments and policy reviews,
  • raising awareness of evidence-based approaches through training, e-learning, and national adaptation roadmaps.

The project consortium consists of 16 partners from 10 Danube Region countries:
